Job Description: Finance and Corporate Functions Lead

Location: Hong Kong

Role Purpose

We are looking for an exceptional, high-potential and commercially minded professional to work closely with the Board and senior leadership across a broad portfolio of corporate functions and strategic initiatives.

The role will provide oversight and coordination across key corporate areas including Finance, Legal, IT/Digital and other corporate functions, while driving cross-functional strategic, operational and transformation projects.

This is a unique opportunity for an intellectually curious and ambitious individual who wants to learn the business end-to-end, solve complex problems and progressively take on broader enterprise leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership on strategic, operational and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Coordinate and drive priorities across corporate functions including Finance, Legal,Digital and other enabling functions.
  • Lead special projects covering strategy, growth, investment, transformation, governance, operational improvement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Translate Board and leadership priorities into structured action plans, clear ownership, milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality business cases, financial analysis, Board papers, presentations and decision-support materials.
  • Track critical initiatives and proactively identify risks, dependencies, decisions and areas requiring management intervention.
  • Work with functional leaders to identify opportunities for simplification, digitalisation, automation, AI adoption and productivity improvement.
  • Drive selected projects personally from concept and analysis through execution, rather than functioning purely as a coordinator.
  • Build effective relationships across businesses and geographies, influencing stakeholders without necessarily having direct authority.
  • Undertake ad-hoc strategic and operational assignments for the Board and senior management.
  • Travel to Group locations as required and actively invest time in understanding operations, customers, commercial drivers and how the business works on the ground.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong academic credentials from a top-tier university, ideally in Finance, Accounting, Law, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CFA or a recognised legal qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Strong foundation in Finance and/or Legal, complemented by broad commercial and business understanding.
  • Proven experience working on complex strategic, corporate, transactional or cross-functional projects.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities with the ability to understand business models, investments, risks and commercial implications.
  • Excellent project and programme management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously and drive them through to completion.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability, including confidence working directly with Board members, senior executives and functional leaders.
  • Highly tech-savvy, with a strong understanding of AI, data and digital tools and the ability to identify practical opportunities to apply them within the business.
  • Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to communicate complex subjects in a clear, concise and Board-ready manner.
  • Strong judgment, discretion and maturity when handling confidential and sensitive business matters.
  • Agile, hands-on, intellectually curious and action-oriented, with a strong bias towards execution and delivery.
